HARTMAN CONCERT PARK AT THE LONG CENTER
In collaboration with some of the world’s most forward-thinking design and engineering teams, CanopyWorx delivered a custom shade solution for the new Hartman Concert Park, a bold new performance space located in front of the H-E-B Terrace at The Long Center in Austin.
Designed by Bjarke Ingels Group and constructed using cutting-edge 3D printing technology by ICON, the circular pavilion features a fabric canopy engineered and installed by CanopyWorx. The structure is supported by 10 precision anchor points and complements the architectural rhythm of the pavilion’s ring, a nod to the former Palmer Auditorium.
This summer, the space becomes home to “The Drop-In,” a free concert series powered by KUTX 98.9, welcoming Austinites to gather under shade and skyline.
The surrounding lawn accommodates up to 2,000 guests, while the CanopyWorx installation provides not only comfort but visual cohesion for day-to-night performances.

JULIET ITALIAN KITCHEN ON BARTON SPRINGS ROAD (VENETO HOSPITALITY GROUP)
Nestled in Austin’s Zilker neighborhood, Juliet Italian Kitchen is renowned for its inviting atmosphere and authentic Italian cuisine and a dynamic Aperol Sprtiz.
However, the intense Texas sun limited the usability of their outdoor patio to evening hours, restricting daytime seating capacity and impacting revenue potential.
To address this challenge, CanopyWorx designed and installed a custom shade solution that seamlessly integrates with Juliet's aesthetic. The new canopy not only enhances the visual appeal of the patio but also provides much-needed relief from the sun, allowing the space to be utilized throughout the day.
This transformation has yielded significant benefits:
---------------------
-
Increased Seating Capacity: The patio is now a comfortable dining area during all operating hours, effectively expanding the restaurant's capacity.
-
Enhanced Revenue Opportunities: With the patio available for use during lunch and early afternoon, Juliet can accommodate more guests, boosting overall sales.
-
Improved Staff Experience: The additional seating translates to more tables for servers, offering increased earning potential.
-
Expanded Event Hosting: The shaded patio has become an attractive option for private events, particularly in the late afternoon, diversifying Juliet's event offerings.
This project exemplifies how thoughtful design and strategic enhancements can elevate a restaurant's functionality and profitability,.

EAST COMMUNITIES YMCA
The East Communities YMCA in Austin, Texas, serves as a vibrant hub for youth development, offering a range of programs including summer day camps that engage children in various activities. However, the facility's outdoor area had a deteriorating shade structure, originally installed by a builder no longer in business. Recognizing the urgent need for a safe and comfortable outdoor environment, CanopyWorx stepped in to design and install a new four-piece shade sail system.
The project was completed within a swift three-week timeframe, just in time for the commencement of the YMCA's summer camps. The new design not only restored the functionality of the outdoor space but also incorporated enhancements for increased durability, ensuring long-term protection against the Texas sun.
This upgrade has significantly improved the outdoor experience for campers, providing essential shade that supports a variety of activities and promotes the well-being of the children during the hot summer months.
